We are delighted to announce that Haverhill will be the first town in West Suffolk to benefit from new sporting facilities, worth £1.5m, following a decision from St Edmundsbury Borough Council’s Cabinet meeting on Tuesday 27 March to allocate funding from their Leisure Investment Fund.
Haverhill Leisure Centre will receive a brand new Clip and Climb facility, suitable for a range of ages and abilities; a mobile Parkour experience; a wellbeing suite for therapies and classes; a super studio, a new café and new soft play area, as well as upgrading the gym experience for our members.
The delivery of the project will be phased to minimise disruption to our valued customers. The schedule begins work to redevelop the first floor of the Leisure Centre, between Late May and early September, followed by the redevelopment of the ground floor from September to December. The gym and group exercise classes will operate as usual, with minimal disruption. Swim customers will not be affected at all.
We will keep all customers up to date as this exciting redevelopment proceeds. Plans will be available to view in Haverhill Leisure Centre reception from today. Our Leisure Centre is about to get even better – and we can’t wait to share it with you!
