The water company will join principal stage partner Adnams as a supporting partner of the cycle race which comes to Suffolk on Friday 8 September.
This year will mark the first time that the OVO Energy Tour of Britain completes a stage entirely within Suffolk, starting in Newmarket and traveling east towards the coast, covering a distance of 183km, to finish in Aldeburgh.
Ciaran Nelson, Head of Strategic Communications at Anglian Water, said: “It’s great to have the chance to partner with the Tour of Britain to help celebrate such a high profile event coming to our region. We have an ambition to put water at the heart of every community in the East, and events like this give us the chance to tell people a little more about us, hear more about what matters to them, and celebrate everything that’s great about Suffolk.”
Suffolk Coastal will host the stage finish in Aldeburgh in partnership with Suffolk County Council who have brought the Stage to Suffolk.
Councillor TJ Haworth-Culf, cabinet member for Customers, Communities and Leisure at Suffolk Coastal District Council, said: “Excitement is really building in the county for the arrival of the Tour this September and we’re pleased to see Anglian Water as a supporting partner of the Suffolk Stage.
